Nórsky chlapec sa zachránil vďaka Warcraftu pred losom
12 ročný Nórsky chlapec Hans Jørgen Olsen zachránil seba, aj svoju sestru pred útokom losa pomocou techník, ktoré sa naučil pri hraní World of Warcraft (WoW).
Hans a jeho sestra sa boli prejsť v lese neďaleko svojho domu, keď pravdepodobne skrížili losiu cestu. Jeden z losov sa pokúsil zaútočiť na jeho malú sestru. V tom si Hans spomenul na techniku z hry WoW zvanú „taunting“ – čiže „odlákanie“. Táto technika slúži na odlákanie príšer z horšie obrnenej postavy na inú, pred útokom lepšie chránenú. Hans pohybmi zameral losovu pozornosť na seba, aby nechal jeho sestru na pokoji, čo sa mu aj podarilo.
Akonáhle sa Hans stal losovým cieľom, použil ďalšiu techniku „feign death“ – „predstieranie smrti“ – ktorú takisto poznal z WoW. Los následne stratil záujem o ležiaceho chlapca a odkráčal späť do lesa.
Tento príbeh ja ďalším z mnohých argumentov, že počítačové hry sú pre nás, večných dvanásťročných chlapcov životne dôležité. Týmto preto vyzývame mamy, ženy a frajerky: Nechajte nás hrať sa, raz nám to môže zachrániť život.

Blaming WoW is also quite strategic due to another factor. It is usually considered ”tabu” or even shameful in our society today to be hooked on an MMO. By revealing ”this secret” to your close ones you are therefore (to them at least) entrusting them with your innermost secret. Usually they will ”contribute” to keeping this secret for you which can be very beneficial. (If people from your ”secondary” social circle ask them they will even usually ”lie” on your behalf (giving you alibi), in order to keep your MMO project a secret.

hlavne to jak blbecci ctete a udavte se tim, ten clovek ty lidi zabil jen aby se zviditelnil a dostal sve myslenky k masam, coz se mu povedlo, gratuluju, jste k tomu o tom pisou hystericky media takza za 1/2 roku tu mame neco takoveho klidne i my az se nejakej lokalni deges inspiruje, dnesni spolecnost je divna a hloupa....

Jeho nazory sdili vic lidi to si nemysli, jenom ne kazdej se takle zviditelnuje..
